Hello you beautiful human beings, I have reappeared to share with you what I have been making lately, as well as a bit of what I have been up to! I am using lately as a kinda loose term if I am completely honest, (I do explain why a bit further down) so I figured I would create a post summing up the past few months, and what I have been busy playing with when it comes to getting crafty in the craftroom.
Somehow we are already nearing the end of March, and it feels like only 2 minutes ago we were still celebrating Christmas. Just how? One minute it is January and you have a full year of opportunities ahead of you, the next minute you are 3 months in, and have no clue what happened, how you got here, and why.
This year I have been continuing to concentrate on the continuing growth of our small business, creating more, Blogging, and getting back on track to reach my goals. Im even trying to be more active on the socials again! When I am not busy creating and making things in the craftroom, it all goes everywhere else. As well as balancing life, constantly being poorly we have some pretty major life changes going on…
…We are officially moving! So I seem to be spending a lot more time packing things up than actually getting busy crafting at the moment. With only the bare craft essentials left out. But crafting helps me physically and mentally as well as being how we produce stock for our small business.
So what I’ve been making lately…
So far, the craftroom has been a hectic vibe of vinyl, polymer clay, Jesmonite, 3D printing, sublimation and now laser cutting.
Emma has been busy 3D printing, hand painting ornaments, and creating, too! so it never stops! Our craftroom genuinely is and always will be a creative hectic heaven!

I have used my Cricut so much more recently! I’ve fallen in love with making up Libbey glasses, and cold cups! Also, I’m currently attempting to master snowglobes, which are a lot of fun to play with! If it isn’t cold cups Im messing around with, the Cricut is always busy cutting something for me, Printing tees, custom orders and keyrings. Of course, if it isn’t busy doing that, it is helping create our business supplies or creating labels for me to keep organised.
When I’m not messing around on Cricut, it’s been polymer clay love…

Polymer clay is my most recent obsession! I started creating with clay in January last year and I am addicted to creating with it. I can spend absolute hours creating with this stuff! and I love everything I have managed to create with it so far.
So far I have mainly focused on my passion for cute and quirky earrings, but I do have some ideas on the list somewhere to create other accessories and pieces with clay too.
Since Emma has got her hands on 3D printing, creating my clay cutters has made the possibilities endless for my creations! so I was constantly coming up with a cutter request. To the point, I am now learning to print my own. Well like you have probably guessed by now, it wouldn’t be me if I wasn’t doing a million things at once.
We have a new sublimation printer…
Sublimation is something that I have been doing a low-key amount of since I got the printer a few years ago! however, my prints would never come out perfect which was tainting it for me a lot. So last year I changed to a Sawgrass printer, and the first thing I had to make, was myself a cute mug.

Im obsessed with the cute ticket design by The Little Egg Studios?
A bit of Jesmonite fun…
Jesmonite is a similar thing, but more eco-friendly, and less chemically scary! Since it is concrete based.
Previously as a small business, we primarily created with Resin, which is something that I admit I fell out of love with. Also, I wanted to stop for personal reasons as well as things that just made sense to us. (The Craftroom carpet may have been a small factor in this decision)
I’d say I am still learning with Jesmonite, playing with ways to create and messing around with pigments, which has been so much fun! Especially when it comes to bright, bold and beautiful colours!

These coasters are my favourite to make so far, with quirky colours and marbled patterns! Obsessed with these myself, however, I am not using Jesmonite as much at the moment to create.
And Finally my beautiful new addition to the craftroom the laser cutter…
After a rocky start to my laser-cutting journey with the Glowforge Aura, I am finally getting to grips with the world of laser cutting. Something I have been dreaming of doing for a while now. The Xtool is a dream machine.
so far I have been experimenting with different materials and making a variety of different items to test the abilities of the machine and my knowledge.
So far I am loving this process!

That is pretty much everything for now…
Hectic as ever! so much going on and so much more around the corner this year but that is it for now.
Let me know in the comments if you’d like to hear more updates on what I’ve been up to and creating more often!

WOW, you make so many different things and use so many different mediums, I love it! With both art/crafts and food creating, I wish to learn it all, so I really do flutter from medium to medium, so I guess I haven’t really “nailed” one kind yet.
Although I tend to use a lot of vinyl (that can be tricky though, as my Cricut sometimes cuts the things I’m trying to cut OUT), craft foam, felt, and fabric in general when it comes to crafts, and I guess I’ve painted a bit in the last year. Baking cakes/cupcakes is also easy, and I’m also known for making a LOT of jello/jelly and gummy candies too, and I like to experiment with chocolate as well.
But I’m always looking to branch out in both areas! I want to learn everything! Both polymer and air dry clay have their pros and cons so I’d like to use them more this year (I’ve used air dry a couple of times in the past), and I’d like to use resin this year too, but you talk about things I’ve never even heard of! I’d also like to get back into decorating cakes in fondant because I used to be SO good at that, and baking cookies too, and I’ve seen people do amazing things with them – but there’s so many more desserts out there to be tried and tested!
Can’t wait to see what else you make!
Thankyou for such a lovely comment! it sounds like you have your fands full with being creative too! what better way to be though ☺️☺️☺️
Polymer clay is certainly my favourite, but it does depend on what you are intending to make admittedly!
A lot of crafters I know have many crafts going. but one in particular will always stand out as your passion eventually. just keep playing around.
