I can’t remember the last time I wrote a blog post like this. An actual life update. And honestly, I have been trying to write this post for days now. I am excited to share the things that have been happening in life recently! especially now it is officially okay to do so, but for some reason, putting everything into words has been a bit of a mission for me this time. Yet alone finding time to write a blog post, has been like trying to get blood from a stone at the moment.
This is probably the biggest life update I have ever written in a blog post before, with 2 major things to share!
Anyway, If you had turned and told me back in January that 2024 would be the craziest year, I would have probably laughed. And had my fingers secretly crossed behind my back.
Now if you said it, I still laugh and probably say, you have no idea how crazy. Life has been super crazy the last few months…
Between keeping up with our usual life chaos we have been doing a lot of big life stuff.
So we found our dream home…
First things first, back in February we found our dream home. No word of a lie, we were 100% certain about the house, as soon as the gate opened. Trying to walk around on the viewing and not get over-excited was nearly impossible. We had placed an offer and we had been accepted within an hour of viewing the house! And, After what felt like the longest wait ever. We finally moved into our new house in June!
We are having a baby.
It still feels insane to be writing this.
On top of packing up and moving home, we were also doing something else major at the same time… IVF!
Technically we started our IVF journey back in May last year, However, I still needed to get my BMI down to the approved number before we were able to attempt a cycle. From May to January this year I was able to lose 8 stone ready to be able to start the IVF treatment. I hit my goal at the beginning of January and was straight on the phone the day I did to let the clinic know I was ready! Then came the treatment!
We were incredibly lucky in our first round of IVF being successful! This week I am currently 19 weeks pregnant with what we have just found out to be our baby girl. (we had our gender reveal last Wednesday)
Due 13th January 2025. Baby girl is certainly on her way.
So yeah… A lot going on…
I am not complaining! I am so excited for the future and to meet this beautiful little girl!
So as well as pregnancy, and still unpacking the odd box here and there. We then have the business and of course, that keeps me very busy too! With even more plans for improvement and growing.
Now we just have even more craziness to plan as well.
